Dell P2415Q Display issue [SOLVED]

Hey everyone,

New problem cropped up. My computer won't post out of it's display ports on the GTX 1080 and so I had to resort using HDMI to my Dell P2415Q. Can anyone help me troubleshoot?

As far as I know the monitor can detect the cable and state that it's not giving anything to show. (So I might need a new Display cable?) I was using Display port to Mini display (Longest Cable I had that could support 60fps 4k) and now am using HDMI to HDMI.

Ports on the monitor are Display port, Mini Display port and HDMI

Any help would be appreciated.

I would start first with a new DP cable no mini. First Ive heard of a mini on the monitor. Laptop yes but never on the monitor.
Also check the input selection on the monitor itself.

Found the issue. Turns out the P2415Q and the P2715Q both have a fun issue where they can lose signal from either the display port or mini. The trick is to keep everything plugged in an power cycle the monitor by unplugging the power cable directly at the base of the monitor and putting it back in after 10 seconds.
