gl502vm can't change screen brightness, which nvidia driver version to solve?

Hi! i just got a rog gl502vmk and i can't change screen brightness. i found out this problem was solved with the new nvidia drivers but i can't figure the installed version on my notebook.
    nvidia control panel says 381.78
device manager says 22.21.13.8178 (i guess it's the same)
control panel/programs/programs and features says 376.06
    what can i do?
latest driver on asus website are 22.21.13.8185. do they have problems? how can i instal them?
I really appreciate any help you can provide!

Have you tried installing the latest ATK package from ASUS website and used FN + hotkeys to adjust brightness? Long shot, maybe worth a try.

Install GeForce Experience from Nvidia and let it check for the latest driver.

Hi! i installed the latest nvidia driver found on the asus support page (22.21.13.8185), i didn't use geforce experience so they're not the nvidia latest.
i didn't unistall previous drivers before installation.
i'm able to change screen brightness with FN + hotkeys!
the process removed "nvidia update" from the pc and i don't have the nvidia control panel icon in the taskbar anymore (gpu activity still present)
