Naturally I've read your key of POST LEDs which you thankfully inserted and was sure it indicates something with my video card.
The White LED (VGA test) is flashing shortly during the normal POST procedure, turns off and stays off hereafter. And the LED is off after Shut-Down. So there's nothing to complain.

By the way I've identified the culprit:
The White LED is on and stays on as soon as the system recovers from Stand-by.

So for some reason the BIOS does not recognize my video card after Stand-by though it's working flawlessly.
I have exacly the same issue with a different videocard (ASUS GTX 1060)
It is clearly a BIOS thing because the issue occured first with a beta BIOS (0808 or 0809) from this forum. The 0704 version did not have this issue.

    Dear Bill@Asus,

I would be delighted reading your notion and appreciate your help.
As the trigger for the White Led stays on is the computer waking up after Sleep what do you think about the issue?
Is this a motherboard problem or a video card problem?
As user Snuggles has reported the same issue this may hint to the motherboard.
It would be interesting to check if the Led is shining as well if changing to integrated graphics. Maybe someone here has this configuration.

    Hello roganaut & Snuggles
Due to the fact that the graphic cards used are not on our QVL, there are potential incompatibility possibilities.
So we recommend to use equipments listed on the QVL, thank you

I am using a ROG STRIX-GTX1060-O6G-GAMING, this one should be on the QVL.

Is there somebody else with the same motherboard who can check what happens after resume from standby in Windows 10?
With bios 0704 i got a yellow LED, with the newest bios 0810, i have a bright white LED.

I'd like to report the same thing. Windows 10 Pro, BIOS 0810:

My ASUS Z270I motherboard consistently indicates a problem with my ASUS ROG STRIX-GTX1060-O6G-GAMING after waking from S3 standby mode by leaving the white QLED on, even though the GPU seems to perform as per usual. I'd have said I was surprised that ASUS doesn't test it's new motherboards with it's latest graphics cards, but this no longer surprises me. Evidently I'm expected to pay for a 1070 or 1080 if I want compatibility.

Thank you for your inquiry. That LED indicator is in fact a standby power LED, please see the description below, thank you
Is there a possibility to switch the LED off when the PC is notrunning? If not, is there a possibility to switch the LED off if the PC is running?

    Thanks

Edit: I'm using a ASUS Z370i if thats important
