I have a HERO IX mobo and I'm installing windows 10 on a Samsung EVO 960 NVme M.2 drive. I've read you have to do a few things in BIOS before installing:

1. Go to secure boot in bios
2. Then under OS type, set to "Other OS"
3. Then click on Key Management at the bottom and select clear secure boot keys
4. Then put in USB drive with windows 10 inside
5. Let windows install and upon the first reboot, go back to bios
6. Go to secure boot and select OS type to UEFI
7. Then go to Key Management at the bottom and select "Install secure default keys"
8. Then exit BIOS and let windows finish installing

I watched a video back in 2015 so it might be too old. Do I need to do this?

I have a Hero IX with a Samsung 950 Pro and I didn't have to go through all of that rigamarole. I did make sure that the OS was set to Windows8 (I think that's what the setting says) but that was about it.
