[SOLVED] If there is anyone who successfully created the Backtracker "backup the ASUS Driver/App" from a ROG G751JT running the original Out-of-the-Box Windows 8.1. Can you please upload the image somewhere and share the link?.
It would be extremely appreciated.
Thank in advance for your help.

PROBLEM SOLVED! you can find the installation image for the G751JT original eSupport folder here: https://mega.nz/#!M6wFUb6C!W4oQ5hUGdR6p8oPFjnEIe0WVspIpUk_V-irDkZ9NS20

PS: I think it also works for the G751JY but not quite sure, can someone confirm that?

Hi there,
Similar Q was already asked many times in this sub-forum.... please read answers like HERE ( LINK) about missing drivers.

if you wish to re-install windows please follow this sticky thread.
please note that you can reinstall windows and pertain your "product key" of windows even though you don't reinstall/reset windows using "backtracker" or built-in asus's reset/restore partition - this is simply because the product key of windows is embed inside the bios of your laptop.
please follow this sticky thread for more information.

Thank you for your reply; however:

  • Even so the drivers are online for download, the original software that came installed out of the box in the computer is not there; also,

  • there is not a guide of any kind to indicate the correct order for the drivers to be installed; and

  • all the OEM customizations from ASUS (Logo, links, help files, etc). are also unavailable.

Do not assume that it is the drivers what I am after because they are not my main concern. The ASUS original applications are my goal.

FINALLY an answer to this ordeal. You can find the eSupport folder for the G751JT inside this WIM image: https://mega.nz/#!M6wFUb6C!W4oQ5hUGdR6p8oPFjnEIe0WVspIpUk_V-irDkZ9NS20

Enjoy!

I think I just threw my DVD out ... I should try rebuilding the G751 down to Windows 8, and then make my recovery project accept an Upgrade from Windows 8.... my recovery partition would probably still be smaller than ASUS' even with Windows 8 added to the Windows 10 images.
