4790k Custom Watercooled 94c under load :(

Well I work night shift, so time zones and sleep are a factor.. but ill do my best

1 more thing, the EK Acid green concerntrait mixed with Distilled Water has left green specs in the Rez and made the res kind of cloudy.

Should I try clean it out with like a vinigure solution of somthing?

Hard to say, I only use koolance coolant and I don't dilute it with distilled water. Been using it for years and it hasn't stained or clouded my reservoir. I did recently have some mayhems tubing stain on me so I replaced it with koolance tubing, I use the flex tubing. Here's some pics of my pc if you'd like to see them. I've since upgraded to the Titan Xp with an EK waterblock, pics are near the end of the thread.

I delidded the 7700k on page 9 and show results too.

It's not as pretty as yours.

Check out these temps under load-






All I had to do was reseat it and make sure all 4 corners of the block were screwed down nice and tight.

Now this is just using distilled water atm, just waiting for the Acid green concentrait to arrive..


I think the temps definitely look more realistic, wouldn't you say


and letting SpeedFan do its thing and adjust the fan speed as needed, under 100%load the fans only spin at 25% Max.

Update:

When changing the to XMP Mode, the CPU temps rise a bit more and fan reach 50% under load, which is interesting.

I'm still wondering about your Vcore at 0.904v, under load that can't be right.

Maybe try version 1.80.0

But I am still supprised how much the temps go up when enableing XMP

I see you're running 16GB of 2400MHz which the 4790k should be able to handle easily.

You could try setting your ram manually with:

CPU VCCIO voltage 1.15v - 1.20v
CPU System Agent voltage 1.15v - 1.20v
CPU Core voltage 1.15v - 1.20v

These are just estimates so you may need to play with them a little until you find just what it needs. The CPU Core Voltage is the one that will show the biggest temp difference, the lower you can get this the better.
