I do see GTA V is using more than 3GB of Vram so I'd put the 6GB back in, once the 3GB of Vram is used up performance will suffer bad.

For Rocket League the framerate is unstable when VSync is enabled (in the Nvidia control panel) and the little fps drops is perceived as a freezing, so I just want to know why is acting like that since I have a stable 250 framerate without Vsync. Another user from reddit having the same card and CPU isn't experiencing those freezes in RL.
I've done multiple test with and without the XMP profile, I'm start thinking there's a bad configuration with my RAM / CPU even at stock.
Which information do I need to provide?

Well unfortunately I'm not able to view the first GTA V video, it says it's not available in my country. I am however able to view the one in the link and it looks to be running flawlessly. Since you have a 144Hz monitor I would play GTA V with V-sync off, this should give you a smoother experience since you're not hitting the monitors refresh rate. Only use V-sync if you're going over your monitors refresh rate, this will keep things smoother and you won't get screen tearing or a funky mouse feel.
I do see in Rocket League FPS does dip below 144FPS but I'm not seeing any freezing. Rocket League looks to be running fine too.Last edited by Nate152; 09-13-2017 at 11:14 PM.

this happens no matter if vsync is enabled or disabled, both online and offline, those freezing are totally random, they could happen twice in a minute or 1 in an hour
the game is only on monitor btw

Thank you, yep I see the pausing now.
A couple things could cause this.
1. MSI Afterburner's OSD
2. Your HDD, you could try installing GTA V on your ssd.
3. How many GB of ram do you have and how much is being used when running the game ?
I might lean towards number 2.Last edited by Nate152; 09-14-2017 at 12:11 AM.

Sorry I posted the wrong video previously, this is the correct one:
1. I did some test without Afterburner, same
2. Tried on my primary ssd, same
3. 16gb, 4gb (4.5gb max) are being usedLast edited by anphetamina; 09-14-2017 at 12:29 AM.

I watched it twice and I only saw it pause once at the 1:13 mark.
Ok, maybe a program running in the background is causing it, open task manager while the game is running and click the processes tab and see if anything looks unusual.
Now I did come across a situation where I was recording and playing and every time the cpu would max out to 100% it would stutter. I was using Xsplit Gamecaster to record, funny thing is it only showed up on the recording. I switched to Shadowplay and it's much better, I'm also wondering if it's because your cpu is maxing out ?
Xsplit recording, it starts to stutter around 2:40

Please watch from 2:37 the game freezes for about 1 sec

Yep I saw it pause there too.
Try running Latencymon and see if it picks up anything.

CONCLUSION
__________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ _____
Your system seems to be having difficulty handling real-time audio and other tasks. You may experience drop outs, clicks or pops due to buffer underruns. One or more DPC routines that belong to a driver running in your system appear to be executing for too long. One problem may be related to power management, disable CPU throttling settings in Control Panel and BIOS setup. Check for BIOS updates.
LatencyMon has been analyzing your system for 0:13:23 (h:mm:ss) on all processors.

CPU SPEED
__________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ _____
Reported CPU speed: 3504 MHz
Measured CPU speed: 1 MHz (approx.)
Note: reported execution times may be calculated based on a fixed reported CPU speed. Disable variable speed settings like Intel Speed Step and AMD Cool N Quiet in the BIOS setup for more accurate results.
WARNING: the CPU speed that was measured is only a fraction of the CPU speed reported. Your CPUs may be throttled back due to variable speed settings and thermal issues. It is suggested that you run a utility which reports your actual CPU frequency and temperature.

MEASURED INTERRUPT TO USER PROCESS LATENCIES
__________________________________________________ __________________________________________________ _____
The interrupt to process latency reflects the measured interval that a usermode process needed to respond to a hardware request from the moment the interrupt service routine started execution. This includes the scheduling and execution of a DPC routine, the signaling of an event and the waking up of a usermode thread from an idle wait state in response to that event.
Highest measured interrupt to process latency (µs): 189,369697
Average measured interrupt to process latency (µs): 1,881109
Highest measured interrupt to DPC latency (µs): 187,616274
Average measured interrupt to DPC latency (µs): 0,596959

If you have asus sonic suite or fan expert, uninstall. Also in win10cu, find your games .exe file and right click >properties >compatibility >disable full screen optimization. Disable xbox app, disable game mode, game dvr
