Intel RST drivers and software for Z97 or?

Hello, just reinstalled win 10 on my maximus VII formula due to getting my first SSD and the Samsung software for it mentioned that the RST drivers I have are out of date and not compatible with some of its features. It gave a link to get new ones from Intel but those said my platform was not supported when I tried to install.

Should I just rip out the RST software and drivers and use the basic Microsoft drivers? The latest ones on the Asus site are what I have installed but they're from last year or earlier. I'm not running raid but installed the Intel drivers because I thought using mfr drivers was always better.

Apologies if this was the wrong forum for this btw. I looked at it as asking about "Asus software" in that I'm running the RST driver/software package provided for my board by Asus. Seems like this forum might be for stuff other than drivers.
