Hi danegeld

Welcome to the ROG forum !

That is a very nice pc you have.

I see your i7-7700k is overclocked 100MHz to 4.6GHz and your 32GB of ram is running at 2933MHz.

What is it you'd like to do ?

id like the memory to be at 3200 and the Cpu to be about 4.8 (well id love 5.0GHz but i dont want to over do it) wondering if maybe i should just hit the EZ oc thing and let it do the 17% it says it can auto do. but would that harm my system?

I would recommend overclocking manually rather than using the auto OC as it will likely overvolt your cpu.

First things first, let's try and get your ram to 3200MHz. We'll set your ram manually rather than using X.M.P.

1) Go into the bios and hit F5 to reset to defaults and set the AI Overclock Tuner to Manual.
2) Scroll down to Dram Frequency and select 3200MHz.
3) Scroll down to Dram voltage and enter in 1.35v
4) Scroll down to CPU VCCIO voltage and enter in 1.20v
5) Scroll down to CPU System Agent voltage and enter in 1.20v

Then click "Dram Timing Control" and enter the primary timings at the very top:

16
18
36
Command rate 2

Then hit F10 and Enter to save and exit, let me know if you're able to boot to windows or if you get an overclocking failed message.

ok give me a moment to do that

when i attempt to change the value...when i hit enter it auto populates back to (auto) i need to do something so i can make changes

good info , shall i just start a new thread as want to get my Asus Rampage VI extreme (1704) with intel 9900x 10-core , Asus Strix RTX2080 O8G with Corsair Dominator 4x16GB (3000) better as seems benchmarking shows a Bottleneck with ram setup most likely XMP and i may have to try manual like above

Currently the Windows installation is on the EVO Plus 1TB on the Dimm2_1 CPU lane for test purpose while i get the bios settings just right , then will install a fresh windows on the Intel Optane 280Gb 900p x4 PCIe card

My Asus ROG Ryojin 360 USB is faulty but it still cools , hopefully getting a replacement as its brand new but asus themselves won't exchange
( No OLED Display , No RGB , No USB detect of device , but pump and fan runs at 100% , radiator fans running from H_AMP_Fan
