Hi nchaedcore
Welcome to the ROG forum.
It could be repaired (if someone has the 1155 socket in stock) but for the cost of shipping and someone to repair it, you'd be better off to upgrade.
You could contact Asus and ask if they can repair it and how much it would cost.

I imagine you'd need the same 1150 socket as that's what the board is built around, you'll need an 1150 socket to use the same cpu anyway.
Contact ASUS and see what they suggest, this would be my first choice. If they can't do it then resort to a local shop that can, the total cost of the socket and repair will likely be more than what the motherboard costs.

You're welcome
You are correct, socket 1155 is what you want.
Let us know if Asus can repair it and the outcome of your situation.
Thank you
