I recently acquired an ASUS ROG Spatha.
The issue is that I give it a non-intensive use and every day I must load the mouse into the charging base.
Is this normal or is it consuming too much battery?
I ask more than anything because I come from a Logitech M510 and the batteries lasted me about three months without charging them.
Thanks!

In general, place the Spatha back on the dock at the end of the day. With more intense gaming or bright lighting effects on, you may need to dock it while taking a break. This is normal for the Spatha, it consumes more power than the average mouse since it is focused on performance and experience (higher resolution, polling rate, and Aura Sync lighting).

Is there a way to reset or flash the Asus firmware? I'm having an issue with the wireless portion. It works fine until it sits idle for 5 or so minutes, then it won't wake up. I have to turn off the mouse and back on to get it to reset. I'm on latest version of Armory and firmware for base and mouse. I have tried going back to an earlier version of Armory but it still is an issue.
Also if I bring up the Armory software when it is wireless, the software won't load. I can get it to load by attaching the wire and turning off the base. Armory will come up. Then I unplug the wire and turn on the base to go into wireless mode and the Armory will come up. At this point I'm not sure if it is a hardware or software issue, so I figure if I flash or reset the firmware I can hopefully fix this.
All this is on a pretty fresh install of Windows 10 Pro of about 2 weeks ago. Help?]
*EDIT* I found the post on how to flash / reset the firmware. I have tried that, it reset the mouse but not the dock. I'll test it out to see if there is still an issue. Is there a way to reset the dock firmware?Last edited by Brighttail; 06-15-2019 at 09:59 PM.

So a year ago I had to RMA my original Spatha for a tracking issue. I sent back only the mouse and got a whole new, complete mouse box. I thought there might be an issue with the base, so I went down and got the other base and tried to use it. Turns out that base has the magnets in reverse polarity, so the mouse is repelled from the base. I'm thinking, how odd? Is this a quality control issue to show the difference between new ones and RMA'd ones? I can't think of another good reason to do it intentionally. I suppose in the end the mice/bases can just have their magnets put in randomly during assembly and then someone has to make sure they are magnetized right instead of repelling. Any thoughts?
