As much as I wanted to put both GPUs vertical I’m not going to sacrifice that much performance over it so the VROC raid 0 900Ps are staying. *Tried everything under the sun from plugging it into the U2, using an NVMe adapter in either DIMM.2 slot and in a mini hyperX card. Damn that is unfortunate I had hopes that the U2 version would be of equal performance and was planning on getting one. It looks like the problem is not the U2 connection but the SSD itself...only Intel could answer this in detail I guess.

I had hoped too. I went through every conceivable slot and setting and they all yield the same. I was looking to mostly to get the PCIE cards out so I had enough clearance to do dual vertical GPU mount but not happening. Put the PCIE 900Ps back in and right back up to where I was with great performance from them. *I’ll just hold out to the next generation or maybe try the new 380 GB M2 905P in DIMM.2_2.*

    Update on refresh rebuild.*
I’ve put things in, taken them out, reversed rads, changed water blocks, and a host of other things. *Few straggler fittings and my reservoir mounts from watercool.de that won’t be here until Thursday and that’s the fast international FedEx but they are the only place on the planet that has the parts. There reservoirs kick azz!*

I think I’ll be leaving the bare minimum on the board running the unicorn vomit color scheme and nothing else. I’m past done with AURA, jumping ship to Corsair, put in a boatload of the LL fans, two lighting nodes and a commander pro. I’ll list up everything when it’s done. Have a funny feeling I’ll be temping an EKWB XRES until my parts arrive. Im the meantime a couple of teasers. Enthoo elite is a nice case but dayum it’s expemsive.

    Note abscemce of monoblock!!*

    Season's Greetings to all!

The absence of the monoblock is obvious and I will be sad to let it go but I am going the same route as you soon...
The only difference is that I will attempt to light the Watercool.de VRM block with the Addressable LED strip from the monoblock and some custom Plexiglass work and will use the EK Velocity D-RGB block as well....(I got 2 Velocity blocks one RGB & one D-RGB). However, nothing come close to the full coverage of the monoblock when it comes to looks...
But we are here for performance so it had to be done.

The only thing missing is the damn der8auer Skylake-X Direct Die Frame that still has no ETA - I really wonder what the hell is Caseking doing and can't get a simple part like this in stock.....It is really ridiculous..

Now about Aura----sad, sad, sad how bad it is after so much time...Honestly I might ditch it in the future too if the newer version with advanced customization options (they said so) is still useless..too bad they don't make the motherboard leds controllable through other vendors' software...

Nice looking build. Looks like an obsidian case.

Making progress on mine. It won’t be as neat as yours because of all the rads I’ve put in. If I can keep it cool with 4 big azz rads it’s not going to happen. I was tempted to go with chilled water but that will mess up the aesthetics too much. Been there in the past and with that it’s better just to use a test bench. In the mean time another teaser. Tubing has been kicking my butt again because of all the rads. Almost there a few more pieces of tubing and wiring up fans and RGB and I’m done. Still deciding on what to do with the MOBO RGB as I’m going to be using Corsair for all the LL fans and RGB strips.

Thanks it is a 900d I see no reason to upgrade it yet.

Very curious how much better the separate blocks are vs monoblock. I know the monoblock is round which I wish I would have noticed.

I’ll let you know soon. Im upgrading from a 900D, that I’ve been running for a year. Mostly just for change. Great case and a shame they have been discontinued. A few years ago there were lots of custom mod parts available, still are some in the UK. *I made a few adjustments, jockeyed a few things and pulled one rad, the 280 CE. I checked the configurator and it said 1000 watts with a 420 CE and 360 CE. I pulled one and still have a 480CE, 480XE and a 360XE. I got to thinking about air flow with the 280 pushing down toward the 480 in the bottom and also it’s just cleaner without. So all together, done bending tubing, 2 liters of juice and still needs a top off. Leak testing now.*

Have a blood red cablemod pro kit ordered. Some times they are fairly quick, others pretty slow. Also ordered the ram light bar kit from them. Just going to get her up tomorrow and taking care of the final cable management when I’m done with cables. The Barrowch flow meter and temp gauge work great. The flow meter also feeds back for flow info to board or controller. Getting 3.83L /min or just shy of 290L/hour without PWM cable attached. *New pumps, same top. Have the bottom for the res to add another D5 for a total of 3 if needed but it’s looking fine as is. When I get her cranking tomorrow I’m just going to dial the pumps in for a balance of flow vs noise, they are quiet as is. *Only drawback to losing the 280 is two less LL RGB fans for the bling. I’ll add one of the back in in the Basement. Rethinking the red struts on the Res, think I’m putting the black back. * In the meantime here’s another tilted pic that will open correctly of you double click. Don’t know why this forum does this to jpegs.

Could you please post a close-up photo of the vrm block from the top....I would like to see the gaps between the capacitors of the motherboard and the sides of the VRM block....I am thinking of adding a LED strip there to illuminate the VRM block but I don't think I can fit it...
