im using an ek coolstream XE480 rad with a d5 pump and the ek monoblock

i will test load temps once i get the build completed.
    Sorry I missed this before.
30C idle is about on par unless you are using extreme cooling like a chiller or phase change. Im using two 480 rads with two D5 pumps in series and 20 fans. My idle temps run 27-30C. Load it up and strap in for the ride. No OC and you will see every bit of 75C, maybe more. Add some volts for an OC and the temps will climb accordingly. Ive seen as high as 95C-99C at 1.285 Vcore and 5.1 GHz. under heavy load. These are not cool chips. Best OC results Ive had have been with BIOS 1002.

I came home the other day and the heater was turned off for some reason so it was very cold in the house. Booted up computer and even after an hour idle temps were at 22C!! That is the secret, keep the ambient temperature at a level where you have to put on a coat!

That 5.1Ghz was that just a load in to windows test or did you actually put it through any tests? I did manage 5.0 with an Aida 64 CPU only run for an hour and it passed 3 of four tests in Realbench, but it was running right at 96C.

After a lot of fiddling around I realized that I needed my GPU at the top slot to ensure it runs at x16 regardless how many other PCI-e cards/m.2s I have in there. I also didn't like some of my original soft tubing runs... Soooo I went from this:

Notice the Runs going to the GPU and the highest run between the CPU/reservoir. (Please ignore the towel as red dye sux if there are leaks)

I got the 5.1 to pass realbench after setting the cache and ram back to default.
It got hot!!!! As in 100C then throttled on the second run. Only did it once, wont bother again as its too hot to tame under water. Maybe with phase change or a chiller.

96C is about what I got with 22C ambient on 5.0 Ghz loaded and at that point I can still run my ram at XMP of 3800MHz and uncore at 3.2GHz.

Ive found that I can also get to 5.0 with the multi set at 49 and upping the BCLCK to just past 102. This got my best realbench score but other things didnt like it at all. My 10G network connection thinks 102 BCLCK=dial up...well a little better but the transfer speeds to my NAS went from 900MBps to 3MBps!

Wow that is toasty indeed. I may play around with it after the holidays but I think in the end a stable 4.8 with 32 uncore is about where it is going to stay. Temps are really easy to control and I can get my RAM up to 4000MHz.

So I think I'm ready to change the fluid/cables in my machine. I've been using red for a long time mainly because my previous build was in a Red interior case. Now I'm looking to go a different colour. So if you could, imagine this in my Elite case with black interior. I can change the colour of my cables and light bars on my RAM to pretty much anything. Which of these fluid colours do you all think looks best?

    1. Purple
    2. Blood Red
    3. Red
    4. Blue
    5. Ice Blue
