Oc f4-3200c16q-32gtzb 3200?

Accidently purchased the G.Skill Trident Z F4-3200C16Q-32GTZB. I entered one the officially supported G.Skill product numbers in the site that I purchased the RAM, but instead of displaying the correct RAM, it gave them that one. Not realizing that it was a different model, I purchased it. Needless to say, the RAM is running fine at stock speed (2133). That being said, can this be overclocked to 3200 without causing harm to the equipment? If not, which G.Skill 3200 RAM should I purchase? I'd prefer 32GB RAM, if it's not possible, 16GB will do.

I have the following:
MoBo: Crosshair VI
BIOS: 1501
CPU: Ryzen 7 1800x
RAM: G.Skill Trident Z F4-3200C16Q-32GTZB

HI buzz1 and Welcome to ROG 🙂

Your exact DIMMs part number are not listed on the MB QVL so have not been tested.
3200MHz OC RAM should work with the latest Bios 1602 however you will have to Tweak your Bios to get them to work.

No harm will be done trying so long as you stay within Voltage parameters.

3066 runs perfectly fine by just changing the ram speed and nothing else. 3200 never post's without a bunch of tweaks.

I see the f4- 3200-c16q-32gfx listed as supported for 32gig configuration, however i do not see the f4-3200c14d-16gfx listed as compatible. According to G.Skill they're supported for am4 base mobos. Since the C14Ds have a faster clock speed, would 2 sets of 16gb kits allow OC 3200Mhz?

I highly doubt it but you can try. Honestly there's practically no noticable speed difference from 2933 to 3200. Mine tan at 2933 for the longest time until I was able to get 3066. Seriously can tell absolutely no difference whatsoever. And I honestly wouldn't go 32 gigs of RAM just so I could get 3200. 16 is all you need

There is more to getting more speed using memory than increasing the IF. Buying single sided memory will allow the OP to run with reduced latency as well as increase the IF. There may not be much of a speed gain for you but there is Vs memory with lower CL along with good settings.

As for trying for 32gb capacity, it is easier to achieve 3200mhz on 2 X8gb than it is on any 32gb configuration. There are no guarantees that you can buy memory and yield 3200mhz, but g skill on 2x8 with CL14 is considered your best chance for success.

Just received the G.Skill f4-3200c14d-16gfx (Flare X (https://www.gskill.com/en/product/f4-3200c14d-16gfx today)). I bought 2 sets to get 32 GBs out of it. BIOS still states that it's running at 2133MHz, although, the SPD on the modules per G.Skill's site are suppose to run at 2400MHz at stock. I haven't done any tweaking yet, but I was wondering this normal for this mobo? Also, If I want to increase the speed of the RAM to ~3200MHz what settings will I need to change in the BIOS.

Look in the bios for speed information about your memory and input settings for

CAS# LATENCY
RAS# TO CAS# READ DELAY
RAS# TO CAS# WRITE DELAY
RAS# PRE TIME
RAS# ACT TIME
TRC
TRRDS
TRRDL
TFAW
TRFC

then adjust procodt to suite your memory. Start at 96ohm then work backwards towards 40 ohm.
