    HiVizMan. This is "Pin Rot" And the reason I use a grease in the socket itself. I do like the idea of doing a silicon seal on to isolate the socket from air totally though. Totally didn't see pin movement coming from doing the melted vasoline thing though. that method has worked for me for years.

    Mate that is a the product of a rubbish seal. Honestly I have had one CPU under a single stage for like 9 months and there was not the slightest discolouration. And why? Because I take my time and do the mount correctly. If I even think it is not perfect I redidi it. Quick is not the best, right way or no way.

    Can you tell me you procedure you use HiVizMan?

    Dielectric grease or no grease inside? a correct procedure would be very much appreciated. I have all the materials need here.
