my cpu i7 7820x and strix x299 have worked superb for 2-3 months, then bios 08.02 (07.02) happen wich had a cpu p-state and micro code enhancements. but since then my cpu has some usage troubles, sometimes out of the blue the cpu usage jumps to 100% for a couple of seconds as shown here in msi afterburner https://imgur.com/a/BMq for no apparent reason, and nothing heavy usage seen in task manager but maybe im looking the wrong place. i have now rolled back to bios 05.03 and reformat windows and it worked somewhat, for 5 days and now the problem slowly creeps back.
