I know this is kind of an old thread, but I'll sort this out anyways:

    cd /d "Directory to update"
    TPMFactoryUpd.exe -update config-file -config TPM20_latest.cfg

For "directory to update", it should be easy enough to copy-paste from the address bar to cmd.
Make sure to run cmd as Administrator.

So I've got a problem, every time I try to update my TPM firmware, it throws an error "The Storage Hierarchy is disabled". How do I re-enable it, I guess?
Earlier in this thread it sounded like I could change OwnAuth in Group Policies, but switching it between Full, Delegated, and None changed nothing.

Have used the advice posted in this thread to update to 5.63.3144. I ended up flashing twice; once to go to 5.62, then again to 5.63 when I was confident in the procedure. I have now encrypted my volumes with Bitlocker as I originally set out. Thank you all for posting

@ASUS it's not acceptable that you're letting the community fix. I've also followed a similar procedure to update a Dell XPS 13 9360 TPM which was officially provided by Dell. Not sure why ASUS can't do the same.

EDIT: As an official TPM-M firmware update was posted by ASUS before this post was made I withdraw the remark above. Apologies to ASUS.

I succeded in updating the firmware on a TPM L R2.0 with the above procedure but now when I attempt to clear the TPM the bios just don't ask me to press F12 anymore.
Neither by Windows neither by BIOS it wants to clear...

Thank you very much! Worked like a charm but only after switched the BIOS setting from Discrete to Interal TPM. After that, update of tpm was done in a few seconds, after reboot switched back to discrete TPM. So i think this is the correct setting...

Bitlocker is used for my ssd perfectly but my hdd for data - also bitlocker encrypted - sometimes need my recovery password for bootup... are there some special settings for me that i can also save the key in tpm modul? thank you for your help!

I realize this thread hasn't been posted to for awhile now, but just wanted to update. I just ordered the 14-1 TPM Module off of Newegg, fully expecting to follow this guide to update. Lo and behold, it came with 5.63.3144.0 already installed. I didn't need to do anything special to get Bitlocker working.

Who was the seller on NewEgg that sent you the updated firmware? I see multiple sellers, currently defaulting to BTE Outlet.

Pretty disappointed that Asus is not helping more in providing downloadable firmware, or helping us identify new modules to purchase.

If you can tell me who on Newegg is selling I will do myself a favor and stop trying to use the Asus update as written about below—please provide vendor
Asus has released a Firmware Update for the 5.51 and 5.61 TPM modules to be converted to the 5.63 version that works with Microsoft Windows 10.
    https://www.asus.com/Motherboard-Acc...HelpDesk_BIOS/
THE PROBLEM IS THAT THIS FIRMWARE UPDATED DON’T WORK
I have both versions of the TPM modules (14-1) the 5.51 and 5.61, I have attempted to update these modules on two Asus computers (ROG Rampage V Edition 10 and Crosshair VI Hero). After modifying the UEIF according to directions the update will not run properly. Perhaps I am doing something wrong but I believe that the problem is with how the files are laid out in the directory that is placed on a USB stick. Below is the link to the official directions:

    ASUS 9665 firmware update

Thanks a lot Rasmorthil for your advise. It worked for me too on an ASUS Hero IX.

now running TPM 5.62.3126.0 firmware and the warning is gone.

Version 5.62 is venerable, you need v 5.63. You can check this on windows 10 v1803 by going to Settings - Update and Security -- Windows Security -- device security -- Security processor. If you haven't Dismissed the firmware update needed you will see a warning. You can try the Asus website https://www.asus.com/Motherboard-Acc...HelpDesk_BIOS/ but as I said above it doesn't get you to version 5.63 as it claims it can do. If you do get to version 5.63 please let me know how you loaded the files onto a USB sick. I have two TPM a 5.51 and a 5.62, both version invoke a warning on Windows 10 and will not provide proper security if using Bitlocker or other security bound items.
