Apex board new build lights up then nothing?

Just finished a new build with an apex VI and x7740.

Board RGB lights go on when switched on then and nothing. No beeps, no codes, and fans do not spin. Just pulled the psu from my old rig corsair ax850 which was working fine so dont think that is the issue.

Any ideas?

****... Just had another look at everything and I plugged in the 6+2 PCI-E connectors to the cpu power supply instead of 4+4 CPU.

Hopefully didn't fry anything.

I dont think I fried anything as no smell or pop just failed to boot. Motherboard has nodamage Did some reading about it and supposedly newer psu and motherboards have protections for idiots like me.

Will re cable everything tomorrow. I have two 4+4 8 pin CPU connectors do i need to connect both of them up on the board or is one enough. Manual just shows one 12v ATX connection. The motherboard has 2 12v ATX though.

Connect both. Especially if OC, but I always connect both.

You probably don't need both for a 7740 but it doesn't hurt to use both

I’m thinking he may change components later that may need extra juice. May as well connect everything on the front end just in case.
