There a few things I think Asus Aura needs to be better. One, I think the Asus software team should look at MSI Mystic, Gigabyte RGB Fusion, and ASRock Aura, and take the lighting features from there that are missing from Asus Aura. The lighting options are too limited in Asus Aura in my opinion. I also think the software team should look at Corsair's Link, Corsair's CUE, and SteelSeries SteelEngine and copy the best ideas from them. They have a lot of cool RGB lighting options that would be great to have in Asus Aura.
One big thing I feel is missing from Asus Aura is the ability to change the brightness. Also, I think the Aura options should be implemented into the BIOS so you don't have to use the software if you don't want. I don't like having tons of third party software on my gaming PC running in the background. Asus Aura uses more CPU cycles than I would like to be honest. I've seen it approach 2% at times which is way too high if you ask me.
I would like to be able to turn off the red LED "Start", "Reset", and Q Code lights on my Crosshair VI Extreme motherboard. They are always red and interfere with the lighting scheme I have running.
You should be able to assign different effects to different LED zones. You should be able to save different lighting profiles. One huge thing I think needs addressed is the lack of Asus Aura compatible RGB fans. Very few RGB fans on the market support Asus Aura and this makes everything a huge pain. Asus needs to reach out to the different companies and come up with some kind of solution to address this.
I think the Asus Aura software, all of the Asus software actually, should tell you which version it is when you have it open. And you should be able to update it automatically directly through the interface. The best way to do things in my opinion would be to have a single unified Asus software program that contained everything in it. It could be comprised of different modules which you could install or uninstall depending on what exactly you wanted.
Aura should also have a Live Preview mode which will show you your lighting changes in real time. So you don't have to keep clicking apply and undo etc.
Overall, Asus Aura is a decent first start, but it really needs a lot of improvements to truly be great.Last edited by Riekopo; 02-05-2018 at 10:39 AM.

Make Aura turn off when displays sleep
My computer runs 24/7 for various reasons, and it gets really annoying turning the lights off when I walk away, plus I often forget. It's in a shared space, so I need to find a way to make sure the lights are off. Would it be possible to add a feature where you can have aura sync turn off when the screen goes to sleep in Windows, and on when it's awake? I imagine there's other people who would benefit from that sort of thing. Thanks.

I think the ability to save lighting presets into a custom settings menu would be nice. I like to take the time to set the individual LEDs to different colours but I'd like to be able to save the whole lighting setup to be able to come back to it later.

omfg
what ideas??? NOTHING is working right!
None of those option are working right!! oh god! you know how G.skill trident rgb is working by default? that nice rainbow sequence? asus aura on rainbow? it looks like crap! the sequence is not fluid at all! you have 2 graphic cards? Aura decides to work only for one! what is this? set it for flash and dash. aura decides that it should jump to rainbow by it's own. SRSLY? In the end i had to set all these leds to off. u think this worked? No. the second gpu is still lit. I wonder if i'll live long enough to see it working.
