Issue in my bios with a M2 Samsung 950 pro

    Hello

I've mounted a watercooled PC with Windows 10 64 bits with an Asus motherboard Maximus VIII Hero, on a Samsung SSD M2 950 pro (see my profile for details).

Everything works, but sometimes i have some bugs, and the performance of my SSD is very bad :

    http://hdelaubier.free.fr/Asus%20Hero%20viii%2005.jpg

When i go to the bios (v.3504 or previous version), i see nowhere the option M.2 !

I've done a search for several days (Google, french forum, etc.) and found Nothing :/

I would be gratefull for your help

    Friendly,

    Friendly,
First off, is the drive running the latest firmware?

Also if the system is overclocked, try at defaults - including no XMP profile.

    Any other expansion cards installed?
Try using both PCIE4 and the M.2 socket.

And my video card radeon R9 200 ?

Where should i try to install my SB X-Fi eslsewhere ? I've got a watercooling that makes any changes very difficult

Are you using the M.2 slot or PCIe adapter for your M.2 SSD?

Also can you do an AS SSD run for me?

    I use the M.2 slot.

If i can't solve the issue, i will buy these kind of adapter
    https://fr.aliexpress.com/item/PCI-E...766479188.html

But it will be difficult because of my watercooling system that is taking a huge place

Is a cristal disk bench enough for you ?

Plus a Cristal disk info :

    Edit : BINGO !!!

I just have updated my Windows 10 with the update 1709, and now everything works perfectly !

But guess what ? My sound card Creative SB X-Fi is desactivated, i don't hear any sound from my computer.

So there is a link between my poor performance of my 950 pro and the PCIe slot used by my SB X-Fi !

Thanks for having focus my attention on additionnal cards, if everything goes well when i will turn on the sound in a way or another, i won't come back here.

Thanks again, i'm lucky because i was annoyed by this for half a year

    Wishing you all the best,

There is no M.2 option in the bios for this board, it automatically detects the drive.

Depending on the slot, bandwidth is shared. This is in the manual.

    Glad it helped
