Got an auto-notify from New Egg today at 12:55, but didn't notice it until I got home at 5:00. By then it was too late. So there are some out there, just got to watch my email closer.

Things aren't normally this bad, lol.
Intel rushed 2xx Series and KBL to market only one year after 1xx Series and SKL. Then X299. Then 3xx Series and CFL (not all released yet). All their schedules "leaked" out on their old roadmaps were bumped up again and again, trying to keep Intel #1 after AMD's re-emergence.
Products are obviously being rushed. OEMs like ASUS are designing and building whole families of products for each major release from Intel or AMD, plus they're stuck supporting other product families which aren't "new" anymore but are still under warranty (and, in the most recent iterations, also a rushed and flawed and buggy). NVIDIA's new GTX 20xx cards and Volta are only 1-2 seasons away, Intel is already starting work on 10nm CNL, AMD is doing Vega and is probably also busy designing newer "Ryzen II" or "AM4+" (or whatever) ... while companies like ASUS don't want to overstock thousands of HEDT boards which might suddenly become "obsolete" (that is, "unsellable") without much notice.
(I'm loving all this tech and competitive innovation and the long-term reduction in product costs. Not loving the short-term reduction in product quality.)
I can understand HEDT being niche, especially since fully-loaded X299/i9-X systems basically cost over ~$5K to build (while fully-loaded mainstream systems are "only" ~$2.5K)."All opinions are not equal. Some are a very great deal more robust, sophisticated and well supported in logic and argument than others." - Douglas Adams

I don't ever remember a Rampage Series board being this scarce. I lucked out and got the only one from a local chain store here that has over 20 locations. That was about 3 weeks ago and they still haven't received more stock. I hope won't have to RMA it for any reason.

With the price point of this Mobo, I can see why they release a little at a time. you wouldn't want a stockpile of them in inventory. Buy yeah, with the demand on them. I would of made the first batch huge, and monitored the need. This is the best ROG build ASUS has made so far. I'm very very impressed with it's performance

I am in the same boat. I am subscribed to every online outlet that has one listed waiting for stock. Sucks bad too because I have everything else sitting here waiting for it. I've been tempted to go with the Apex, but I have resisted considering I already have the monoblock for the R6E.
