Faulty VG248QE monitor , Problem with UK RMA process

I have an Asus VG248QE monitor (8 months old) that has a grey horizontal line going across the screen, I contacted tech support in the UK who arranged for a replacement monitor to be sent out and swapped with mine, The problem is the replacement was in very poor condition with loads of scratches ad marks on the panel and bezel, My monitor is in perfect condition without a mark on it so I refused to take the poor quality replacement, I spoke to the UK support again who arranged for another replacement monitor to be sent out only to find that this also was in poor condition so I again rejected the replacement, I don't know if there is some quality control issue going on or Asus think it is acceptable to sens out inferior replacements, I would be happy just to have mine repaired and received an email to say that would happen and all that I needed to do was fill out the RMA again with the reference number ( P1710001152 ) I was sent only for the RMA to be rejected and I received this response:

" Please be advised that we have escalated the case to see if we are able to
    offer a suitable solution.

We are currently awaiting feedback on our escalation, or approval - once this
has been received, we will advise you accordingly."

Just a quick update with RMA issue, My monitor with the serial number G9LMQS122034 has been given the RMA number GBBBHA0099 and it looks like I'm going to be given another refurbished unit, even though I received an email saying they would repair my one, I just hope the replacement will be of an acceptable standard this time
