So you problem is not the Samsung driver.
If your doing an in place upgrade start the upgrade from with in windows and select save your files.
The install will load the windows native drivers if your on NVME driver, or the IRST driver will remain which is the default, You can't mix these two drivers. which you may update to Samsung if you like.
Otherwise it sounds to me like you trying to install a NVME driver on top of the IRST Driver and that is not going to work no mater what version
My bios is in AHCI and got NVME sasmsung driver but with any method the update will fail no matter what.I don't have IRST driver installed.

From Control Panel->All Control Panel Items->Power Options select Windows Mobility Center.
All plans should be selectable from there.

OK but when your notebook came it was running on the RST driver and the OS was installed on the RST driver.
For you to change to the NVME drivers you will have to Use Disk part to clean your SSD and Convert it to GPT
Then Clean install windows 10 using the Install tool that MCT created for you.

NVME driver is not something you have, on install windows installs the native NVME driver, you would then later upgrade that driver to Samsung 2.3 NVME driver is that is what you want.

To upgrade a system set up in RAID with the OS set up on the RST driver you'll have to upgrade in place with out trying to change to a NVME driver.

With all that said there is a way to convert your OS from RST to NVME it is quite involved with many steps. If you search these threads someone explained it a few months back. You can also goggle for the procedure.
I will not attempt to explain it. as all in all if you want to change your system your better off just reinstalling to the system you wish to have.
As always you better have a good SSD Image that is recoverable should you run into issue. Also insure your eSupport folder is backed up somewhere safe.
