I'm using the hyperx cloud 2 headphones and some sounds like the windows notifications sound have a very low volume compared to everything else, I've also tried to play a bit with the sonic studio 3 but it's lacking some sort of audio normalization
also I've read in other threads that the front panel connector should be better for headphones but I honestly couldn't feel any difference between front and back, do I have to do anything in particular?

Trying to find the same answer in this thread https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?96529-Rog-Strix-Z370-E-vs-MAXIMUS-X-HERO-Audio but haven't found a solution yet.

it's actually a slightly different issue, I have no problem with the volume per se it's just some sounds, I use it at 7% with the amplify level on powerful which is the same % I used on my old computer with a xonar phoebus

Which software are you setting the amplify level in? I'm unable to find such an option!
