    Not sure if anyone saw this, but I reported to Asus a bug I found in the audio drivers;

    https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthrea...atest-Versions!

I saw this issue in Win7 & Win10, so buggy drivers might simply be the problem here is all, that is why I suggest using the older version, and if you're still having problems, then check to make sure there isn't any kind of load on the system when playing audio...

Nice post there. Hopefully it'll be seen.

So I notice that windows default drivers in fact have 0 issues. If I install ANY realtek version, audio goes out of sync. This is without sonic studio II.

I'm on windows 1709. When I was on 1703 that's when the sync issues started.

I had 0 sync issues when I was on 1607 using all the same drivers.

ondersma80, and anyone else who doesn't have sync issues - what version of Windows are you on? I swear the creaters update stuff is buggy with some drivers.

    Thanks!

Have you checked the IRQ to see if audio is being shared on the same IRQ?

It might improve audio if you can get it on it's own IRQ...

How many slots you have used on your motherboard, what are all the devices you have on it?

SlackROG, pretty sure this is a Win10 Creators update issue since 1703 and 1709.

I didn't have these sync issues, or audio cracks/pops (aside from when I had the buggy Intel Ethernet drivers) until I upgraded to 1703/1709.

There's another thread where a few had a similar experience: https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthrea...o-on-HERO-VIII

    Also, check here, https://www.tenforums.com/drivers-hardware/

There are many users reporting audio issues since the 1709 update. Some even clarify they literally had 0 issues, then upgraded to 1709 and then had audio issues.

Most have tried the obvious in terms of reinstalling audio drivers, trying different versions, and so on.

Win10 should double check their OS and drivers, make sure the foundation is not buggy, and then if Asus (or anyone else) needs to adjust their drivers, should do so.

I'm going to downgrade back to 1607 soon and see if I have the audio issues to further verify.

my fix for now is using the audio driver that came with my z370-h mobo CD. those drivers dont have any issues at all. no more out of sync or crackling.
