Is this the type of behavior you've been experiencing?

Seems like what Taij was saying, that something is shorting out and you have to let it dissipate.... In this clip the PC has been sitting in the cool room for about 5 min before powering up the PSU and then the system. The Corsair logo, which I was suprised to learn the other night was an LED, lights up, turns red, and begins a rapid flashing as it fades and dies.

Clip here: (careful, as of this posting the video is still being processed, post-upload. IANAYT'er)
    https://youtu.be/Lm93K7Ssv6I

I can still plug my 4 fan/2 y-splitter assembly into the CPU/CPU_OPT ports which keeps the CPU cool, but it sucks running a crippled system made up of the same manufacturer's parts.

Damn, that youtube link was bad. Updated link: https://youtu.be/Lm93K7Ssv6I

I found this cable on Amazon, which arrived this evening, and did not solve my problem:

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I will now attempt to install the H100i on my TUF Sabertooth 990FX system and see whether the unit is faulty. The perils of purchasing used....

(On a side note, the above USB cable is installed with the fans connected to the corsair's ports. Only the AIO pump is presumably running. I have been on this system for about 2 hours when I realized the radiator cooling fans were not powered. Fortunately, the ambient temperature in here is 67F/19C, and this hasn't caused a single problem, other than freezing my *** off)

oops. Seems that your Hydrohas some severe problems. Definitely not the out of the box experience.
For the USB, I am still waiting for my internal cable. Using an external USB cable is a good workaround but I want to have the Hydro internally cabeled.

Got another USB cable (Delock Cable USB 2.0 pin header female 5 pin > USB 2.0 Type Mini-B male 30 cm) but the pump is not seen by Windows/Corsair Link software. So it is definitely the USB_15 post on the mainboard which does not recognize it because when I use a USB cable plugged to an external USB, the pump is recognized in Windows as "Corsair USBXp Driver" and it can be configured via Corsair Link.
So far, I am going to give up on this matter

it isn't the cable, it is a messy USB_15. Too bad that Asus designed the CH6E with only one USB2 onboard. An alternative would be a USB3.1 hub which I would mount in the case - alas, there is only this Type B connector available and I wasn't able to find a USB3.1 which could use it as an input. Any ideas on that?

Give up. I have yet to find a USB 3.1 Gen 2 Hub.
