When will we see firmware updates for INTEL-SA-00086 for X299?

So, Intel has come out with a vulnerability detection tool for the recent horrible Management Engine flaw that affects Skylake and newer architectures. Naturally, it comes up positive on my Strix X299-E Gaming.

Does ASUS have a timeline on when the X299 boards are going to see that firmware update?

For those who want to check, the detection tool can be found here, but let me save you some time: If you have an X299 system, then you're affected.

Some guys in german forums flash that on their Asus/MSI mainboards.

I will wait for the offical Asus solution!

Keep waiting.
ASUS don't even acknowledge it on their own security advisory page.

Gigabyte has released the firmware update for their Intel chips too.

ASRock only has released for Consumer Mainboards, not Prosumer. As far as X299 is concerned, we got the worse end of the deal. I'm not exactly happy about it and hope there's a fix soon - I need my system (Apex VI, i9-7980XE) in a work environment.
