Been reading and watching tons of reviews on the ROG STRIX X370-I and B350-I GAMING mini-iTX mobo for Ryzen, and according to ASUS's own announcement, these two motherboards were supposed to be available in the US in late October, but there isn't a single retailer listing these at all. Just wondering if these will be released prior to Christmas in the US, I bought all the components for a new build except the motherboard because I've been waiting for these. The ASUS announcement was here: https://rog.asus.com/articles/maximus-motherboards/bring-ryzen-to-mini-itx-with-rogs-strix-x370-i-an...
I have been waiting for months after the announcement as well, and have come to the conclusion that they messed something up. They have either delayed the launch, or are cancelling it all together. I have contacted Asus directly and they said they don't even have an estimate on it's release and won't disclose any information about it at all. Retailers also stated that they have no knowledge of any incoming Asus product for the next month or so concerning mini ITX boards. I really want to get one of these boards and have put off buying competitor boards because I've been using Asus for almost 10 years. They are available in the UK & AUS but I'm not paying 230$ + 24% VAT + 30$ish shipping for a 150$ board. Your best bet is likely what I'll be doing today and that's picking up a AsRock AB350 which is on sale right now for $115
Honestly, this board is the reason I bought Ryzen. If this doesn't come out in North America in the next couple weeks, I'll be returning my ryzen and going with Coffee Lake. An actual release date would be nice, why is NA getting shafted on this?
Really disappointed that Asus hasn't given us any more information. The board just looks so sweet. I guess i'll be pulling the trigger on an ASRock. Cheers guys.
