    ASUS ROG STRIX PRIME etc...

Finally got my ASUS Strix 1080 Ti (OC edition) card tuned to max and fully stable (just retired my GTX 1070 FE). Right now I'm pretty into Destiny 2 and with this overclock this card stays at a steady 2038 MHz. I also play with adaptive refresh rate with a capped framerate and with highest settings in Destiny 2 I get a constant 84 fps from this card, doesnt hiccup one bit and those triple fans keep it all cool. No shunt or unlocked power limit mods. For the life of me I tried to get GPU Tweak 2 to work but had to revert back to AB. Don't get me wrong it worked but even if I selected "minimize on startup" it would never do so as well as on shutdown I was getting windows shutdown message "Program Manager" is preventing shutdown. My Maximus Z270 Code motherboard has been nothing but flawless overclocking my 7700K to 5.2GHz on water 82C max / average 50C gaming. Not to mention I've had my Corsair modules pushed all the way to 4000MHz even though Overwatch and Destiny 2 just won't allow that to happen : P My PG279 monitor has also been nothing but great, no black light bleed, killer aesthetics and of course overclockable to 165Hz with beautiful IPS panel. I am sold on ASUS, thanks for making great gaming gear for the gaming people out there. I have never ever had a single issue with an ASUS product dating all the way back my very first ASUS motherboard with a intel PII chip, even with AMD and their Phenom what was it 945, all my Sabertooth boards have been rock-solid, never had an issue what-so-ever.Only thing that is NOT ASUS is my keyboard, mice and headphones. Reason being, Logitech's mechanical ROMER-G keys are just beyong gnikcuf awesome and don't be fooled about their wireless G403 mouse, there's no issue with it being wireless except no distraction of moving a cord with it, maybe ASUS partnering up with OMRON to make their own proprietary key may be something in the future, who knows but I will be on the lookout. So basically this my product feedback for a little bit of differant stuff from ASUS.

That's a nice setup you have there CODE MAXIMUS, your pc looks nice and clean !

I'll have to agree, ASUS products are top notch and I've never had any problems with anything from ASUS.

You should be getting more than 84 FPS in Destiny 2 with a 1080 Ti, the Titan Xp is slightly faster and I'm well over 100 FPS. Something that might help you get more FPS is, in the Nvidia control panel try setting Maximum pre rendered frames to 1.

Here is a video of Destiny 2 with the latest Nvidia driver 388.71.

Thanks Nate, yea I have it set to 1 for pre rendered frames even though it is not needed with G Sync because I'm framerate capped in the game. Don't get me wrong I can get frames up to 144 but it fluctuates and I don't like playing games where the fps is bouncing all around, doesn't make it for a smooth enjoyable play even though there is no frame skipping, that's why I use a framerate cap editing the cvars file. So yea I have seen more than 84 fps with this card but for highest settings (3D, everything maxed the kcuf OUT!) at 1440p I am finding 85Hz is the sweet spot where you will never see a drop in fps what-so-ever WHILE HAVING EYE ORGASMS with max graphics settings LOL, I tried it with 100 and it fluctuates between 88ish to 100. I get good gameplay with 84 and card rocks it all : P !!!!!

There's nothing with the vga card or my system, it's just the game is very taxing on graphics unlike say Overwatch, there I could play at 144 hell even 165Hz as this monitor is overclockable and capped at 143/164 and it never dropped a frame on a gtx 1070 FE with medium settings, shadows turned off. I just want the eye candy now WITH highest frames I can get, so far I am pleased, game is fluid enough at 84. Plus I got a good deal on that Strix 11OG under $700 NIB ; P

    Never skip a beat

We need to get together and play some Strikes, there are milestones for powerful gear.

One of the hardest weapons to get is the Rat King side arm, there are four things you have to do in order, 3 patrols (easy), 2 public events (easy), 2 crucible matches win or lose (easy), and the hardest one is completing the Nightfall with 5+ minutes left on the clock.

    I finally got it tonight.

I see your finally back and congrats on the Rat King, yea I got the exotic ornament for it.... I'm really liking my exotic Scout rifle I just picked up, Jade something, it's got a bunny on it, supercool, chain body shots to gain bonus damage on your next precision shot AND return ammo to the mag.

Ohhhh nice, I'll be looking for that one.

I been using the Mida multi tool scout rifle, it sounds like a nail gun to me.

It's in the video I posted.

Yea when you get a headset or get on mic! After playing WoW for 11 years it's like I don't want to play anything muliplayer unless there's communication.
