Can only reach DDR4-3200, can't post above.

Work fine with same i7 8700k stock XMP enable on MB = Gigabyte Z370 AORUS Gaming 5 ...

thats very odd man im on asus x hero bios 802

i have g.skill rgb 16gb (2 x 8 gb ) 3000 mhz cl 14-14-14-34 1.35v xmp
i have these manualy over clocked to
4000 mhz cl 18-19-19-38 1.4v
vciio = auto
vcssa=auto

12 hr prime 95 stable blend @ 90 % ram coverage
12 asus rela bench
24 hci mem test stable

i can run 4133 19-19-19-39 @ 1.45v didnt run tests on them @ that speed as i was shocked to get 4000 stable and iwas happy there @ 4 k cl 18


8700k delided @ 5 ghz all cores ht on
no avx offset =0
adaptive mode =1.33v ( 1.34 - 1.35v on heavy load )


wjhats this new bios 1003 ?????????? should i not even try it ? or im scared to brake my 4000 mhz stable settings lol

No reason to flash if you're happy with the way things are.

I checked Gskill's site and that kit is QVL for IX Apex and X Apex only so I wouldn't say anything is broken
I have a 2x8 4133 cl19 RGB kit running at 4133 (QVL on IX Apex only) on my Hero Wifi with dram v 1.38, VCCIO 1.2v and VCSSA 1.2375 manually set in bios and a few other settings changed. I set XMP then manually set the voltages above
I knew there would probably be some manual tuning required and I would probably have to settle for lower speed than XMP rated, there are just to many variables involved
I don't think you can compare one manufacturers board to another even with the same CPU as they may use different training rules, apply different voltages etc.

Same here with 0802,same ram but going 3800 all auto with xmp enabled
