Some great additional information from Mr.Wolf from another thread.

Intel have determined that the previously released C2 microcode for Skylake H/S U/Y is actually OK and does not cause any problems. So it has just been re-released and is not something new after all (other CPUs are however getting an updated version).

The Windows Update method only loads the microcode into volatile memory and so has to be reloaded every time Windows boots. So a BIOS update is still preferable.

From Asus? Probably not. Their x99 Rampage 5 edition 10 will go unfixed I'm afraid.

Can someone please tell me how to prevent my PC from security patches.
I will not update intentionally nothing but I want to uninstall possible Windows Updates.

I install Windows 1703, I didn't update to 1709, even chipset driver I didn't installed last from Intel site just in case that they change something.
If someone could tell me number of Windows Update and how to protect self from performance drop. I was vulnerable 10 years and now I will not give single percent of performance to become more secure for patching silicon error. Gate is Destroyed. Or better, gate never exist, it's not in plan and if they draw Gate that will not help, until they build new from scratch with new silicon.

And to be honest my PC work somehow faster when I secure erase SSD with ASUS BIOS and install 1703 version.
Immediately I hade everything connected with 1709 with little tool, same as some drivers.
Only Windows success to install Creative controller for 45 seconds of connection before I success to observe what is on list of possible updates and hide what I need. He didn't react on my direct order to avoid install of drivers checked in registry.

That's disgusting, we pay so much for hardware, (maybe you not but I spent all of saved money) and I need to hurry when I connect internet to hide everything what OS want to install alone without question.

My advice is to all people avoid any money transfer or anything similar on Intel platforms until they completely fix silicon error with next generations.
It's well known that Intel employers sold their stock because they expect earthquake in company.
Later their thanks to everybody because behave as donkeys and accept news just like that.
I only could imagine what would happen if some Russian or Asian company produce silicon and cause something that... Americans would cause revolution on streer to push government to punish them and stop to cooperate.
But now big coorporation success to make fools from normal people because they dare to complain because performance hit and lies.
Intel even advice in silence bigger partners to avoid to update fix as I plan to do with my PC from first moment and in some moment I suffer pressure from people who were lost completely searching whole day how to fix silicon bug with software update. They thought that's very bad move and didn't know in that moment that few weeks later when they crippled own PC Intel will advice same only not PC enthusists.
They have different stories for everyone.

It's weird... owners of i7-5960X and i7-6950X in moment when they figure out about Intel bug had chance to sell their long time used processor and invest in Ryzen 1800X and Threadripper 1950X, new processor with warranty with better performance, depend of Intel model they had and most of people didn't done that.
