AI Suite 3 Version 3.00.10 & 3.00.13 - user test/report thread

My only issue with ai suite 3 on my z97 hero vii board is the fan control.

It simply can;t control any of my dc 3 pin fans anymore. I hope this gets fixed soon because its a water cooled system built for silence when its not under load. Right now my pump and fans are going full blast. heck, even my pwm fans arent able to slow down much.

I'll see if there's something we can do about that for the Ryzen systems. This update was for systems that don't require custom power profiles.

I'd think it would have already been a priority as aisuite isn't suitable to be used with any of your AM4 boards, I had already told you that and I find it hard to believe it didn't show up in your testing before release.

I cannot get 3.00.13 to install. Every time I click on AsusSetup as admin I get nothing. No install window, nothin'. In TaskManager I see ASUS Com service pop in and out several times before finally stopping. What can I do to get this software installed and operational?

I've already used AI Cleaner tried installing in safe mode, etc. Nothing seems to work.

You can set the fans up via uefi. When not using ai suite, the fans will fall back to the default (standard) profile.

The update wasn't tested on all platforms. Not enough time as there are way too many. And generally, volume trumps fringe cases, or those requiring custom/special attention. You'll have to wait until it's updated for the usage model of custom AMD power profiles. When/If it is, the update post I create will state it. Just like this one, which was tagged that it was tested on X99.


Just a gentle reminder: just because you file a report, doesn't mean it will be patched right away - even in this thread - because I'm not the person that controls, prioritizes, or patches these things. In the meantime, if Ai Suite is important to you primarily for fan profiles, you can set them up via UEFI (preferred way of doing things, as it's less resource intensive than the software).

Actually I uninstalled AI Suite 3 and rebooted, and I still see there is a "Asus Motherboard Fan Control Service". My fans seem to be working normally though (almost inaudible under normal workload). Is this service part of AI Suite 3?
