I’m pretty sure the modes have already been listed on the previous pages.*

SDR / 4:4:4 / 144 can be enabled, yes. It's only 10-bit that maxes out the cable BW.

We've done more extensive testing with the latest firmwares available (read: I got paid to play games recently ) and we are confident you cannot see the difference between 4:2:2 vs 4:4:4 (that's even if you can reach >98FPS at 4K!). It appears as only very slight chromatic aberration in limited scenarios in Windows 2D environments, but you have to really try to look for it and in your desktop environment you don't even need HDR turned on anyway. We tried to capture it on camera in a game but we couldn't identify it. In the desktop scenario we could see it, the pixels are so small we couldn't capture it in focus even with a full frame Nikon + $4K USD Ziess lens. I get there's only so much you'll believe from me but we're pretty confident that when reviewers get a PG they'll convey the same experience we do.
The effect of a well implemented HDR in game is waay waaaaay more beneficial and exciting than worrying about this marginal limitation.

Because I guess OC3D were probably told by a rep, who was informed by someone last week etc, whereas I was told by the engineer responsible literally an hour ago. As we're in the last mile it can change by day depending on the firmware team's results + other development factors.

Honestly I'm not concerned much about 4:2:2 vs 4:4:4. I'm more worried about 8-bit+FRC vs 10-bit as well as the blooming/haloing in HDR mode. It would be great if you can provide us with some info especially now you already had hands-on experience with gaming on the monitor itself.

Please take your time and thank the team for their hard work. Also beg marketing/sales to go easy on the price

That sounds like something you should await the reviews of various hardware sites for, after it got released.

Thanks again for providing so much direct information, it's actually very refreshing, even when it's bad news
