Btw, at 4k on 27", can you actually turn off anti-aliasing, because the pixel density is high enough that you won't see edges? That would in turn boost frame rates!

Well speaking for myself with the PG27AQ in front of me I have to run at min 4xAA because them jaggies are still very noticeable to me being like a foot and a half away from the screen.

For canadians, the monitor is in stock and ready to buy. http://www.canadacomputers.com/produ...item_id=122062
    5 in stock.

Edit: Nevermind, the overview says pre orders for Mid June, but it says there's 5 instock, weird.

That price is ridiculous and is above the Canadian MSRP Acer has. Meanwhile Amazon Canada is raising the price again to 2800. Wtf? MSRP is 2700.

Less and less motivation to buy it. I am starting to rationalize that if I have been waiting almost 2 years for a new monitor, I might as well wait a bit more for a sale.

Edit 2: Amazon Canada says June 6th, 2018 release. https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07CWDBL39/...9&linkCode=df0

its a bandwidth limitation we need displayport 1.5 to get the true 10 bit with the full color gamut of 4:4:4

You are lucky actually, eventhough Australian dollar is pretty close to C anadian dollar, the monitor will apparently be $4500 here, which is 3500USD.

Hm, So Australia is the most expensive, then Europe, then Canada, and it is cheapest at USA. It's almost as if they are charging a dollar extra per kilometer away from the states you are, lol.

The 4:2:2 HDR mode on this monitor, is it YCbCr444 or RGB? Because I tested YCbCr422 in the Nvidia Control panel on my current monitor ASUS MG279Q and it looks like shìt using this chroma test image http://i.rtings.com/images/test-mate...chroma-444.png
The blue and red text is unreadable, and text in general. I don't want that same experience on the ASUS PG27UQ or the ACER X27 if I get that monitor. I don't want things to look like shìt when the monitor is set to 120Hz and 144Hz.

On the brightside, I am pretty sure you're not from afghanistan. That's a lot of kilometers.
