Even now current gen (top-end) can drive many games in 4k @ 60+Hz on max q. Its not a matter of many years to achieve 100+Hz.
BTW DX12 supports better multigpu methods, nut its on the game makers to implement it.

    Explicit Multi-GPU with DirectX 12

of course we all know by now, that the FALD used in PG27UQ is different from the one used in the PA32UC -
but as an 'impression' of what to expect it's good enough...
also bear in mind, that the camera recording off-screen could exaggerate things

also i'm keen on seeing MarshallR's videos...
    Where do you post them?
    the hell that looks terrible

Is it really because of the camera exaggerating things? Because if I see this in real life I will immediately throw the monitor into the trash bin lol

The FALD response here is low so it's giving a comet-like effect. I'm not sure if there are options on the PA, but in the PG27 it's default set to fast and is more responsive. You can set medium/gradual if you need for specific apps but fast is best experience.

Also this video is still a poor example: the camera is NOT adjusted for the brightness of the HH image. It's over-brightened and whiting out the CCD. When you look at an image your pupil focuses on the subject brightness first (or the most bright object in your view so as not to damage your retina). Also this is an extreme contrast scenario we keep talking about. In-game, or in-movie you won't see this effect because it's among all the other colors and graphics. If you're on the desktop you don't need HDR enabled either.

CES was not a final product. However if you prefer the alu/grey over burnt orange I will pass on the feedback.

We've got a Strix 1080 Ti running FarCry 5 with >60 frame rates at 4K in some scenarios in the lab on Ultra. It's a very well-optimized game. You don't need it to run up to 144.

+1 for the grey/silver. The red/orange era is over and other ASUS products such as the rampage vi extreme have a netrual color pallet.

Thank you for being open to feedback *

No orange or any color pls. Aluminium grey or black preferred. I find it odd when the color of PG35VQ is grey while PG27UQ is orange.

Also, why do we need any color at all when RGB is all over the place lol? I'm not a fan of RGB lighting but that's my observation.

+1, if a product has rgb, then let the lights do the talking and not the plastic accents.

    +1

i really don't like that 'gaming branded orange' -
i like my gear more neutral

also i think, that colors on monitors often makes the product feel 'cheap'

i hated the red plastic bar on my PA328Q - which was otherwise a good product - and my entry in 4K
but to be honest - the stand of the new PA32UC also looks... well... as i would need to getting used to...

Yes I also prefer neutral products (black, grey or silver), especially on monitors or with RGB. But I already pre-ordered, so I do not know if I would be concerned with one of this possible changes.
