I hope Asus had better sense than this.
you're right, it's ridiculous but with some luck it's possible to get a quiet one. But As a long time happy fan of Asus products owning the PG27AQ, PG279Q, PG278Q I'm for the first time in my life forced to buy the Acer equivalent now just because Asus decided to implement an even more ridiculous tripod stand which not only looks hideous but makes the stand too large to fit on my desk the third arm either falls out of the desk or has to be placed where my keyboard is. I can't believe they did that all in favor of a fancy laser show which would have been possible just as much using a stand such as currently used by the Acer.

Whatever marketing/design team at Asus came up with that idea obviously forgot that the only people who are actually able to pay 2800€ for this product price will also use it and declare it as a business product and might be looking for a rather a sober/neutral but functional design that doesn't stand out during checks...

Lol Isn't the PG27UQ ridiculously expensive in Australia? Last time I saw, it was over 4k Australian dollars.
Here in Canada, Bestbuy is releasing the monitor due for June 25th at $2600 CAD, which I plan to buy one.

That's a stupid excuse, we get the exact same warranty in Canada, which is listed under the product. They're snaking Australians, nothing else.

    I am selling my VG278H (1080p 120hz TN). Got a buyer for 200$ lol.
