Both use the only G-sync hdr panel out currently - M270QAN02.3 they can't be different.

Possible as Acer hasn't published the specs themselves. I feel it's best to wait for people to get their hands on these 2 and review them.

I did research a bit and i can remember, that at CES 2017 GSync HDR monitors were promoted as TRUE 10 bit and 96% DCI-P3

so maybe - it's just OLDER information about the panel in the X27, while the information about PG27UQ is up-to-date?

sorry I'm confused as that seems contradictory. X27 is the one which the spec says it has 10-bit ant 96% DCI-P3. Are you saying maybe they're going off the specs from CES 2017 and haven't updated it to reflect the actual ones?

    In short: yes!

I think that Asus/Acer had to adjust the specs they aimed at -
due to DP1.4 limitations, available panels and of course production issues...

You can find videos on youtube from 2017 where staff members and marketing people clearly say:
    TRUE 10bit Panel, etc etc...

maybe it turned out, that for efficient massproduction that was just not doable!

Just want to point out that the Amazon Canada listing for the Acer x27 went from 2560 to 2717 out of nowhere.

    O.o

    https://www.amazon.ca/dp/B07CWDBL39/...v_ov_lig_dp_it

Time to go cross the border and buy myself a new montior Lol.
