The latter seems highly unlikely as these things are worth A LOT of money in sales that they'll get.

so you mean - the asus one is better in terms of color-reproduction and overall imagequality?

    but how can that be??

    very nice... thank you...

sadly it doesn't say anything specific about actual colorspace and/or peak brightness...

i highly doubt that PG27UQ and X27 will be that different, because they both use the same panel...
    but well..
    who knows...
maybe they tweaked the firmware to get the most out of the panel...

How satisfied are you so far?

Very, very satisfied. These X27 / ROGs are so much better than the current crop of 1440p gaming displays that you can't even compare.

Here is a picture with pure black fullscreen. What you see on screen is actually light pollution coming from behind me, you can see my silhouette from the light pollution haha

Please take a photo of you watching a widescreen movie with black borders on top and bottom! Need to know if the black on the bottom is solid black like your full black picture above.

I want to know this as well. Infact, please test local dimming with this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3So8OFdqcdA

Big Question, not only are the ASUS PG27UQ and ACER X27 the best computer monitors out right now for HDR, but they are also the best at SDR as well, i'm I right? Want both of these monitors be the best at displaying SDR then any other SDR monitor on the market?

    http://www.overclock.net/forum/44-mo...or-x27-38.html

Early users of Acer X27 are giving high praises to its image quality.

Though one did get an upside down Gsync HDR logo and one found a stuck pixel on the monitor. Do you even quality control for fck sake Asus & Acer!!!
