I remember Asus engineers sending me a doc showing it was 1.5mm but I don't know the length. Best bet is to either measure it your self with a ruler in milli meters or take it to a local hardware shop and ask them

You can also buy them off online retailers after u get the size .

or buy a mixed lot of screws and use trial and error

I also damaged the M.2 heatsink screws on my Maximus X Hero when trying to get them out with a (fairly cheap) iFixit screwdriver. These screws were in so damn tight. Eventually had success with a Wera micro philips screwdriver (PH0). Needed big force and required removal of the cpu heatsink to go straight in with a high quality screwdriver not to strip them out completely.

Please can anyone help me? I'm having this same problem with a new Z390-i board I just got:!

One screw has now fully dremelled / stripped at the end (what is the right word for this?), And the other still won't come off no matter what.

I am using a jewellers screwdriver kit.

I am replacing a broken Z370-i board which doesn't have this problem, the screws on that come off easily with zero effort. I have appealed to the retailer for an RMA but have to wait until Monday now.
