    Not reaching target speed

    Hi,

In the bios I've 3900 target speed with a cutom P-state 0 at 3900, but suddenly in the system the CPU it is at 3000.

Also, the P-state is 1,375v + 0,0250 offset but on HWinfo I can see 1,275v fixed.

    Am I doing something wrong?

    Regards.

Down the P-state to 1,35v solves that and back to 3900, but why? Someone can explain this?

    Regards.

Its a bug, surprised it hasn't been fixed yet. Its a fault on AMD's side of things that has been around since the beginning. Only touch the FID of p-states and you will be golden.

Use the voltage controls in the normal OC tab (think its called [something] tweaker.) Use an offset voltage, so for a 1700X, desired - 1.35 = offset.

1.35 is the default VID of your chip. It is the stock (auto) setting of the VID in the p-state options. The 1800x is also 1.35V, and I think the 1700 is 1.18v (don't quote me on that. ALWAYS check for yourself.)

    Thank you unknownmiscreant.

Its the first powerfull PC I build and I'm new on OC, so I was confused.

In brief, VID to 1,35v and adjusts with offset.
