Hi

just a very simple question..

I have a 4790k with a 1080ti on a Asus maximus VII ranger board.

I'm kinda considering upgrading but i get very different advices about it..

1. Does not worth it... Wait for next gen in two years and you will still be able to run anything by then without issue and i won't notice any real improvements

2. yes ! Worth it, more performance, more RGB, DDR4, blablabla...

I'm asking there to know what you think and if someone can maybe convince me not to spend 800€ 😄

If you only use your system for gaming, the i7-4790K is still a capable performer even in today's standards.

mostly gaming but also some light video editing for work but nothing crazy.

And for gaming, will i notice a real extra performance? I have a 1080ti or will it be kinda the same for me?

i have a 3440x1440 monitor by the way, 100HZ.

I was thinking of taking, maybe end of the month (depending of how much money i can save)

Hm ok so for what i see the difference will be between 5 and 15 fps.. does not worth it then i guess

Upgrade or not? That is the question..
