It has flashback, this is ISP/ICSP tool.

Seems like 0 effort from EK on STD/MONO block for sure . I'm awaiting delivery of Bykski A-Ryzen-ThV2-X, this also has mounting support for AM3, AM4. One on left is to be delivered, was after the middle one, but when asked seller for photo of actual item it was as on right .

I think I'd have gone for the middle one too...but whatever...it's performance that counts...

I saw that block and was looking at XSPC one....they both have this wide open delivery to central channel where flow splits left and right...

The thing about the EK block is the clever insert that ensures water arrives perpendicular and evenly pressured...

I was wondering if flow goes left and right evenly and if centre and far end flow is the same...

That block has a centre cut back that I presume is there to even central and edge flow with pressure....XSPC doesn't have that.

But EK doesn't have full coverage so all the insert cleverness is wasted...

Or maybe I'm overthinking this LOL

I'd be interested in results of that one gupsterg....

On AMD boards VRM cooling is very important. Special for so premium build sa Threadripper.
That's not as VRM for Intel Z370 when investment in Monoblock is maybe waste...
    But for X399 only this...

Both are beautiful. You see fan on Zenith Extreme board.
It's not without reason, cooling VRM + CPU is very good choice for Threadripper.
It's not absolutely necessary but recommended.

Damn, she look so cool. RGB Off course, Aura compatible.
Shield stay, on X99 we need to cut pipe.
This is very good chance for me to Recommend ASUS to pay attention in future about such things and leave option to customers to remove VRM heatsink and left Shield on Ports. But can't influence on type of VRM heatsink. They need to stay massive and heavy for people who use system with air cooling or AIO systems.

I would love to see some more info from you guys, namely:

Any stuttering in games? I've read there were some amd issues / (memory issues maybe)
Hard resets, booting ssues, blue screens, restarts? I've read there were some issues with bios related problems with these amds.

I would like to step up to 8 core cpus but intel is just making it impossible to afford one. I'm cosnidering AMD for a while, but the issues are concerning that I've read in the past.

True, performance is what matters , pricing is sweet as well . The one on left can be had for ~£50 delivered, middle was ~£40. I too think the EK internal design is wasted just due to not sizing up the block on top side. Will defo share results data with Bykski .

HardOCP recently rerun testing on it's TR setup on newer CPU sample(link), in previous CPU sample testing of 1.44V, XSPC/Bykski were within a degree of each other. Someone on OCN has the EK Monoblock and IIRC difference between it and STD block is a degree or 2 only . Even if the monoblock is bigger block of metal the added VRM heat and "engine" design just means it still performs poorly. That same member is getting Bitspower block and has at least another 3 types.

I've had Ryzen with Crosshair VI Hero and Threadripper with Zenith Extreme since launch. I would say gaming experience has been good and smooth. Yes depending on case test it could perform below an Intel offering when comparing outright FPS. I really can not say I have had random reboot, hard reset issues if an OC profile is correct.

Ryzen was under developed for months, but after ~3mths I would say it was where it should have been at launch. Threadripper at launch IMO is where it should be.

Honestly I wouldn't care about 10fps less in games, if we compare prices, the AMD is cheaper cpu wise (correct me if I'm wrong though, haven't checked prices for a while).

I am very tempted with AMD though, if I can get twice the cores and threads and get just a tiny bit of less performance in games, but otherwise 30-50% boost (like OS have extra juice to do its stuff since the extra cores, background apps, etc.)... I would start considering it for the future. Right now Intel is WAY behind with the releases. And I'm so surprised, since they got so much more money on development side and they can really do whatever they want. Yet they are lacking with the release of proper 8cores. I9 Is so expensive it really would hurt to buy that one.
Just checked to be sure, the 10core i9 is double the price of the Threadripper 1900x 8core cpu. What is intel thinking seriously? This is a joke.

Agreed price/performance crown is with them. I reckon how TR boosts out of the box is "optimal" for all round usage. I never flip between game/creator mode either. I just stick to stock with RAM OC.

    Anyone have 1900X

    Is it pretty pants?

I was thinking of getting one while I decide if I like the platform and then upgrading to full fat second gen TR when they come out on 12nm...
