8700k system unstable at idle
I have an 8700k, Maximus x code, Trident Z 32gb 3200mhz. I've overclocked to 5.1 yesterday and its passed realbench and prime95 stress tests with no issues.
Today its frozen up twice while idle on the desktop, but no issues gaming or benching.
My overclock settings are based on a lot of reading done on this forum and de8auer's 8700k oc guide on youtube.
Manual mode
MCE off
AVX -2
Sync all cores on
51x
cpu svid: disabled
LLC 6
Long duration package power limit 4095
Short duration package power limit 4095
cpu core/cache curretnt limit max 255.50
min cpu cache ratio 42
max cpu cache ratio 42
bclk aware adaptive voltage: disabled
cpu core/cache voltage : manual 1.350v
everything else at default values
Does anything in there look out of place?
Any suggestions on what to try ?
Thanks

Yes, delidded, temps are good. Max out at 67c in prime95.
Doing a bit of reading and I'm starting to look at the RAM as the possible cause.
I entered the rated values manually, but did notice it was taking longer to post so dropped it back to 3100mhz (from 3200) and all seemed ok. Running Windows Memory Diagnostic too right now and it has 'detected hardware problems'.
