I'm not surprised at ASUS is doing that, since it cuts down on the web storage space (those 2 MB files can chew up a lot of space in a real hurry, though I rather they used more space than degraded the artwork. Make sure that you are compressing the .PNG files with the maximum allowable compression, since it has a rather dramatic influence on file size.
I am disturbed because I cannot break my system...found out there were others trying to cope! We have a support group on here, if your system will not break, please join!

I'm no artist and I haven't looked through all 40 pages here yet. Are there any board specific wallpapers? It seems obvious to me that Maximus Hero is a name just begging for an iconic hero character of some sort. I'm a little surprised Asus marketing didn't commission something along those lines for it.

You haven't seen the Hero Wall yet because the only place I've released it was in my Theme Packages and on Desktop Nexus, also I've only done one of them sofar because I haven't had any encouragement to do any more for ROG. It doesn't encourage people to do anything for this Community when 90% of the people here ether Ignore them, Cuss Them, Tell them Their art isn't good enough or treat them like Outcast! I'm personally ashamed of the ROG Community for the treatment people who have tried to give to all of you freely out of their Hearts have received!

That is because we do our best to correct situations where people are cussing each other out and starting fights. If pointed correction doesn't work we have removed people from the forum entirely.
As to the second part, not everyone is going to "get" an artist's work and even those that appreciate it may not stop and take the time to do so in writing. This may feel for all the world like being ignored but it's just the nature of the Internet. Being an artist on the Internet where you never see the faces of people viewing your work and may not even have accurate metrics is going to be hard if you need accolades and validation. A lot of the time just feeling good about your work is going to have to be good enough. Ignore the haters, because unless they invested something you don't owe them a thing, least of all your time and attention.* Support disease research with Folding@Home *

Well because of xeromist, I'll give this a last try.
Here is one of my latest works called ROG Lazer Line.
If you like it you can also download it from http://my.desktopnexus.com/GrimRipper/ along with others I have uploaded there and while your there make sure to take at other artist for anything else that you may like.

That texture kind of reminds me of a CPU socket.

Yep, I was going for the Intel CPU Socket look. Thank You for Noticing! The other thing I was thinking about was how Chips were made using Lasers and the new Droid Commercial was all about how the Case is Laser Cut and made out of Kevlar... Some of strange places my mind goes when I dream up a Wallpaper....
No I don't have a Droid....I have Samsung Galaxy S3 and Tab 2 7.0 but the Droid design is interesting.
