Questions for someone in the know on ASUS plans .
I have a GS73SW - great laptop - but I need to upgrade at some stage - a 4K movie is too much for it .
1. Is a laptop with a 4K 3840 *2160 display , coming up soon , or still a long way to go ?
This article https://www.asus.com/Laptops/ROG-G703/specifications/
shows the new G703 as having a 4K display , but the store only has a 1920*1080 .
2. My current 1920*1080 screen is glossy - I prefer this than matte . I notice all the current models are matte . Is there no chance of glossy returning ?
So - should I wait before buying something new , or is this still years away ?
Thanks .

Personally I dont get the desire for 4K on 17" of real estate. Larger monitor, yes but not anyting on a laptop.
Glossy vs matte is a preference and most go for matte for the glare reduction.

Thanks JustinThyme . The 1920*1080 was also once considered not for laptops . In my opinion , these displays are coming - question just is - when ?
ASUS actually already has VivoBook 4K with 15" display .
ASUS also announced ROG G701 here https://rog.asus.com/articles/g-series-gaming-laptops/republic-of-gamers-releases-g701-gaming-laptop... with 4K in 2016 - but 4K never eventuated .
There are already some 17" 4K's out there - HP , Alienware , Razor Blade .
Maybe some of the moderators here , have some access to this sort of info from ASUS ?
