Does the R6E BIOS 1102 released today that includes fixes for Spectre and Meltdown also include the fix for the Intel ME problem from last fall that also needs a BIOS update or is the Intel ME update coming later?

NO R6E BIOS 1102 only update microcode to 0200003A for Skylake X Spectre patch. The ME firmware still 11.10.0.1287H in BIOS files.
You'll need manually update to ME Firmware 11.11.50.1436 under Administrator Command Prompt. It take few second to complete.:p

Exactly how do I do this? I know how to get a command prompt and run as admin, but what then and where do I download the update from?

After Command Prompt Administrator you have only run flash.bat Everything will be finish after that reboot your system.
You will see the first page of BIOS of RAMPAGE VI EXTREME look like this.

then when you use Intel SA-00086 Detect Tools GUI it will confirm that your completely safe from SA-00086.

Here is your download link http://www.mediafire.com/file/f7rxdmbxhrp2tuf/ME_11.11.50.1436.rar

1. Step 1 Extract all files to C:\ME

2. Step 2 Open Administrator Command Prompt goto C:\ME

3. Run flash.bat then waiting few second till everything complete.

4. Reboot then you'll check your first page of your RAMPAGE VI EXTREME will show as my picture above.

Very easy like eating Banana Split ice cream. Greeting for optimal safety all RAMPAGE VI EXTREME owner. Happy new year 2018 :o:o:o:o:o

I updated to 1102 and have all windows updates. Ran this tool over at Guru3D and this is the result:

70698

I haven't seen this issue with the Intel ME. Is this a separate problem? I do have the older version in the bios currently. Thanks.

No Guru 3D Tools only check SA-00088 (Spectre issue). There are Intel Detection Tool on my picture above checking for SA-00086
(USB vulnerables). Trying this tool you’ll see your system still vulnerable from SA-00086 with old ME Firmware (11.10.0.1287).*

Yep. Worked fine. Ran the Intel detection tool again after the update and it's patched. Thanks for the help!

Also noticed I had to reflash the ME update for bios 2 on the motherboard. Will this need to be done with every bios update?
