nhAsusU7MKIISvc64.exe provides audio effects for 64-bit applications, you may need it.
nhAsusU7MKIISvc32.exe provides audio effects for 32-bit applications and support for radar functionality.

I still don't see the issue on my end, but you can try white-listing these two applications to use your dedicated Nvidia GPU (if that's what you are using).
    1. Right-click on desktop.
    2. Select Nvidia Control Panel.
    3. Select Manage 3D Settings.
    4. If you are using a laptop - Try changing Preferred graphics processor to High-performance NVIDIA processor. (Turns off Optimus)
    5. Click on the Program Settings tab.
    6. Add the program to the list.
    7. Select High-performance NVIDIA processor as preferred for this program.

You can still add to white-list, just skip step 4.
When adding, if you can't see the 2 files, browse and go to Program Files/ASUSTeKcomputer.Inc/nhAsusU7MKII/UserInterface (and/x64 for 64-bit)

Did you always have a lag issue or only the latest graphics driver?
What other software or games are running as background processes?
