Nevortic, thank you for providing actual information.
By the way, did anyone notice promised 20% performance decrease after microsoft patch (KB4056892)? I tested only Dark Souce III, fps still the same.

I did not notice any change in performance and the benchmarks I made on the CPU remained unchanged. Also, I can tell you that my GL502VMK which has an i7 7700HQ has a lot more scores than other laptops of other brands. Also I want to tell you that the processor is undervolted at -100mV and I decreased the current to 50 A despite all this, the processor still has the highest scores of all.
The CPU has peaks of 86 degrees and the GPU only reaches 64 ° stable.

    Hi everyone!
What means TBC in BIOS update graph on asus.com? To be confirmed? I.e. microcode fix is not yet available?
Or BIOS 306 for GL553 is that BIOS update fixing Spectre/Meltdown issues?

    OK, lets check.
    1) "Microsoft’s latest Windows 10 patch will address Spectre Variant 2 CPU flaw
Microsoft now provides a new manual update for Windows 10 devices based on sixth-generation Intel processors. It addresses the Spectre Variant 2 flaw in these CPUs, which could give hackers access to sensitive information if they have direct contact with the device."
    Go through the link
    2) "KB4090007: Intel microcode updates
Applies to: Windows 10 version 1709Windows Server, version 1709 (Datacenter, Standard)
    Summary
Intel recently announced that they have completed their validations and started to release microcode for newer CPU platforms around Spectre Variant 2 (CVE 2017-5715 (“Branch Target Injection”))."
    Also in the end:
"Consult with your device manufacturer’s and Intel’s websites regarding their microcode recommendation for your device before applying this update to your device."
    Clicking on "recently announced"
3)"Latest Intel Security News: Updated Firmware Available for 6th, 7th and 8th Generation Intel Core Processors, Intel Xeon Scalable Processors and More
The new microcode will be made available in most cases through OEM firmware updates."

    >through OEM firmware updates

BIOS update needed so. If you check Windows Client Guidance for IT Pros to protect against speculative execution side-channel vulnerabilities, you will see:
BTIHardwarePresent : True (Hardware support for branch target injection mitigation is present)
BTIWindowsSupportPresent : True (Windows OS support for branch target injection mitigation is present)
BTIWindowsSupportEnabled : False (Windows OS support for branch target injection mitigation is not enabled)
    BTIDisabledBySystemPolicy : False
BTIDisabledByNoHardwareSupport : True (branch target injection mitigation has no hardware support - no microcide update from vendor)
    KVAShadowRequired : True
    KVAShadowWindowsSupportPresent : True
    KVAShadowWindowsSupportEnabled : True
    KVAShadowPcidEnabled : True

Spectre and Meltdown Fix KB4090007, KB4091663 and KB4091664 *Intel Microcode Update for Windows 10 1709, 1703 and 1607
In the German computer magazines is reported that this Microsoft patch fixes Spectre „complete“ for Skylake, Kaby Lake und Coffee Lake CPUs .
Is still a BIOS update necessary?
If you fix the system (Notebook) double, with the Windows Update and the BIOS, will the performance get even worse?
did I understand this report correctly?
    Best regards Tom
