Hello!
I have G752VT with 64GB of ram and one original SM951 256GB NVMe SSD and Samsung EVO 850 500GB SATA drive. I want to put
Samsung 960 EVO Series - 1TB PCIe NVMe - M.2 Internal SSD (MZ-V6E1T0BW) in. Will it work? It is M.2 (2280) - PCIe 3.0 x4 NVM Express SSD drive. Did somebody try to put EVO 960 series drive in G752VT?

Thanks for answers!

Should work yap, then ensure TRIM works.

I overheard there's a max space addressing though, can't remember the post..

Well the limitation would be the PCIe 4X bus I am sure there must be some limitation but the only thing I've heard of is were reaching the upper limit of bandwidth for the buss.this is what UEFI and GPT were developed for to remove the limitation of the MBR BIOS limitations I think the only limitation on how many TB is your wallet.

Trim is automatic in Windows 10 and the firmware has its own garbage collection working everytime your computer is idle
to check it look the same place you would for defrag the OS recognizes you have an SSD and runs trim rather than defrag.

Thank you. I bought 1TB PM961 (was really cheaper). I just put it inside together with my original SM951 256GB and is working without problem. CrystalMark 6.0.0 x64 is showing at SQ32T1 3325.3MB/1760.4MB, that is more then perfect for me 😄

LOL, that's a far cry from the 1 TB 960 Evo you originally asked about.

yea you can put them into RAID 0 and have 500 GB single volume read speeds won't improve much but Write speeds will, and you'll only have one drive to worry about backing up etc.

Why far scy? It is not big difference between 960 EVO and PM961, only Samsung Magican its not working with PM961. I don't need more speed. I need space 🙂 I have now 1,7TB of SSD drives inside , that is important to me 😄
