    LOL , I would too .

I recently shared your 3600MHz result, read the reaction by a poster on share. Sorta of touching on another aspect we discussed recently, without "data" people just do not believe.

Yeah, well if it's data from someone you don't know then a big dose of skeptical is a must ! You only have to look at official inflation figures LOL.

Though I wonder about the RAM Test comment...my experience has been very much the opposite...though it's a sample of one system...

Scroll to the bottom of previously linked page, there is post linking to The Stilt's experience of RAM Test. The author who wrote RAM test used several members on a Finnish forum for alpha/beta testing, one the members was The Stilt. The Stilt has vast experience with AMD products .

I have yet to buy RAM Test, currently I use HCI Memtest v6.0 and GSAT.

Yeah, I came across his name in researching SPi32M...and later here and there...usually related to AMD...

And right...that pretty much sums it up for me...it's like HCI... but better LOL....especially for people like me who have the patience of...

AFAIK at one point he was working with AMD, but no longer. He seems to be party to fair bit of NDA info still, what his exact role is IDK. AFAIK he isn't an ASUS employee, but his RAM profiles are in the C6H/ZE UEFI . I know he gets a fair bit of HW from various vendors for testing as well .

GSAT is good, but as Silent Scone states, it isolates RAM well for testing, so on unstable CPU you can pass test. HCI seems to hit CPU more besides doing RAM testing. So I believe it shows deficiencies on SOC voltage more and if CPU OC is unstable. But I have seen some Ryzen CPUs on same board/RAM work differently. In that GSAT failed, but HCI didn't, when on same profile and another did vice versa. So TBH I really can't state what is best and use both .

All Ryzen CPUs I have used also seem to pass RAM tests easier than when CPU and RAM is both loaded, other have also noted this.

Well, his RAM profiles work a treat so however he comes up with them, long may he continue!

Yeah, as always, stable is stable until it isn't....too many combinations and permutations to rely on just one test...so a quiver of them is probably wise...

And then just as you have a world beating, rock stable system...some Windows update happens...

The kit F4-3600C17Q-64GTZR will be 4x F4-3600C17-16GTZR, IMO these would be dual rank/sided setup, you can check using Thaiphoon Burner. Expecting >3200MHz IMO is not going to be "plug'n'play" and probably not going to be possible IMO. The Stilt presets are for single rank/sided Samsung B die, I doubt with dual rank/sided you will be able to use the tighter profiles.

I have had 3600MHz post/OS/bench stable on Ryzen/C6H, so I know my RAM can do it. I have had 5 Ryzen CPUs, fully stress test stable I have had all do 3333MHz, only 2 3466MHz and 1 I am still testing for limit but 3333MHz is definitely sound. As Threadripper uses same "die/IMC" I would expect similar thing.
    I have CH7, ryzen 5 2600x and is stable with 2x F4-3600C18D-16GTZRX (timings below).
I also tried OC cpu to 4200 1.45vCPU,1,36vRAM. "Works" but its not stable at stress tests
( timings 18/22/22/22/42/64 ) maybe 4150 for ryzen 2600x with this Ram is fine .

This discussion revolved around Threadripper gen 1. Arne can get 3600MHz, I can't, generally Ryzen gen 1 IMC doesn't attain decent stability on 3600MHz for numerous application tests. Ryzen gen 2 IMC is much better suited to attaining slightly higher RAM MHz, even then higher than 3466MHz could well be hit'n'miss depending on IMC. I've had 2x 2700X and max is ~3500MHz.

hie to all, its been a long time

i gave up on runing my ram at 3600, then i saw that g.skill came out with ram specific for amd.

but lately, my computer get freeze for no reason, i have been resinstalling windows and i still get freeze.

when i try to boot, i get a 00 code for ram on the oled screen, and thats it, no bios or nothing, fan of the MB work but thats about it.

i take around 20 restart with power out to make it boot again, i don't know whats wrong.

if its the ram ? why am i getting stuff right now ? is it because i juste update to last bios 1601, i used to be on 0902 if i remember.

so right now i hesitate to either buy a new ram kit that work with the threadripper , i have my eyes on the F4-2933C14Q2-64GTZRX
but this kit isn't approve by asus, i figure its because they don't test ram for this mob anymore ( when did they start carring for customer anyway) but its compatible on the g.skill website for the zenith

it cost around 1150 euro, and i would like my trouble to be other with after, since that mean my previous kit that cost the same amout will be on a shelve collecting dust

    any advice ?
